Catarina Pérez-Pérez is a dedicated coffee producer from Aldea Com, Concepción Huista, Huehuetenango, Guatemala.
 
In 2017, while her husband was working in the U.S., Catarina took on the full responsibility of managing their 8 cuerdas of coffee land—handling everything from administration to marketing. After his return in 2023, they expanded their farm by 6 more cuerdas and began to rehabilitate neglected coffee plants, significantly improving their production. Together, they now manage under a hectare planted with Caturra, grown under shade trees like chalun and peach at an astounding 1,940 meters!
 
Their process is entirely artisanal: cherries are picked, manually pulped either on-farm or at their home, fermented with minimal water, washed, soaked, and dried on tarps over four days. Committed to learning and improving, Catarina and her family continue to elevate the quality of their coffee through care, tradition, and persistence.
